Forest bathing at Trelissick

A National Trust estate on the River Fal, with oak woods along the creeks and parkland paths open dawn to dusk.

Trelissick is a National Trust estate at Feock, near Truro, almost surrounded by the River Fal and its creeks. Beyond the garden there is parkland and woodland, with old oaks leaning out over the water; a sessile oak on Lamouth Creek is a well-known tree here, and on the stroll to Roundwood Quay twisting oak branches frame views of the river.

The car park, parkland and woodland walks are open dawn to dusk, so you can come early and have the creekside woods largely to yourself. Paths are estate tracks and woodland paths, with some ups and downs towards the water. Some areas have been closed since Storm Austen, so check the signs when you arrive. The garden has its own admission charge if you want to add it on.
