Forest bathing at Arrowe Country Park

About 250 acres of parkland, ponds and deciduous woodland in the middle of the Wirral, with a brook running through.

Arrowe Country Park covers about 250 acres in the centre of the Wirral, a mix of open parkland, ponds and deciduous woodland, with Arrowe Brook running through it. A good part of the park is given over to golf and sport, but the woods are separate from all that, with paths under the trees where you can walk slowly and take your time.

Paid car parking, a café and toilets are near the golf shop, and the park is open dawn to dusk. Head away from the golf course and play areas into the woodland, where paths follow the brook. In spring there are primroses under the trees. After storms you may find fallen trees along the paths. Ground can be muddy in winter, so wear boots.
