Forest bathing at Boden Boo

Riverside woodland on the Clyde beneath the Erskine Bridge, with wide, smooth paths and a small beach.

Boden Boo is a Forestry and Land Scotland woodland on the south bank of the River Clyde at Erskine, right beneath the Erskine Bridge, looking across to the Kilpatrick Braes. It is a small, well-used wood with about two miles of informal trails, grassy slopes for sitting and a riverside beach. It sits on the Clyde Coastal Path.

This is one of the easiest woods in the area to get round: the paths are wide and smooth, fine for buggies, with only a few short, moderate slopes. The bridge overhead is a strange companion, but the trees and the river soon take over. Sit on the slopes above the shore and watch the river go by. Take care on the beach in wet weather, when parts can turn to soft, sinking mud, and keep dogs off it in winter and the nesting season.
